TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. ABOUT US
These terms apply to all sales made by Router Tooling Ltd (“RTL”, “we”, “us”, “our”), Unit 1A, Winchester Avenue, Blaby Industrial Estate, Blaby, Leicester, LE8 4GZ.
By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. BUSINESS AND CONSUMER CUSTOMERS
2.1 A “Consumer” is an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business or profession.
2.2 A “Business Customer” is any customer who is not a Consumer.
2.3 Certain provisions of these terms apply differently depending on whether you are a Consumer or Business Customer.
3. ORDERING AND CONTRACT FORMATION
3.1 All products listed on our website are an invitation to treat and not a binding offer.
3.2 When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email. This does not constitute acceptance of your order.
3.3 A contract is only formed when we confirm acceptance of your order, which may occur at dispatch.
3.4 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order prior to acceptance.
4. PRICES AND PAYMENT
4.1 Prices are shown exclusive of VAT and delivery unless stated otherwise.
4.2 Prices are subject to change without notice.
4.3 We reserve the right to adjust prices after order acceptance where increases occur due to:
- supplier price changes
- raw material costs
- taxes, duties or exchange rates
- factors outside our reasonable control
4.4 If a price increase occurs, you will be notified and may cancel your order without penalty.
4.5 In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order, even if acknowledged or paid.
4.6 Payment must be made in full before dispatch unless otherwise agreed.
5. DELIVERY
5.1 Delivery charges and thresholds are as stated on our website.
5.2 Delivery dates are estimates only.
5.3 We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers, but this does not affect your statutory rights.
5.4 Delivery shall be deemed complete when goods are delivered to the address provided.
6. RISK AND OWNERSHIP
6.1 For Consumers: risk passes upon delivery.
6.2 For Business Customers: risk passes upon dispatch.
6.3 Ownership of goods shall not pass until payment is received in full.
7. RETURNS AND CANCELLATION
7.1 Consumers (UK distance selling)
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason.
You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Goods must be returned unused and in original packaging.
You are responsible for return costs unless goods are faulty or incorrect.
Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receipt of returned goods.
This right does not apply to:
- custom or made-to-order items
- goods altered to your specification
7.2 Business Customers
Returns are accepted only with prior agreement.
Goods must be unused and in original packaging.
We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee.
8. FAULTY GOODS
8.1 Consumers
Goods must be:
- of satisfactory quality
- fit for purpose
- as described
You are entitled to remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8.2 Business Customers
You must inspect goods on receipt and notify us of defects within a reasonable time.
Our liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.
9. PRODUCT USE AND SAFETY
9.1 Many products supplied by RTL are intended for professional or trade use.
9.2 For professional use only. These products must be used by trained and competent persons. Incorrect use may result in serious damage or personal injury. Always follow manufacturer guidance and applicable safety regulations.
9.3 It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all products are:
- suitable for the intended application
- installed and used correctly
- used in accordance with all applicable laws and industry standards
9.4 The customer must ensure that any person using the products is appropriately trained and competent.
9.5 RTL shall not be liable for any damage, loss or injury arising from:
- incorrect use of the products
- use for unintended purposes
- failure to follow manufacturer instructions or safety guidance
- inadequate training or supervision
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
10.1 Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- any liability which cannot be excluded by law
10.2 Subject to the above, our total liability shall not exceed the price paid for the goods.
10.3 We shall not be liable for:
- loss of profit
- loss of business
- loss of goodwill
- indirect or consequential loss

11.2 We do not warrant that product descriptions or content are error-free, complete, or current.
11.3 Availability and pricing may change without notice.
